Requirements

1. You must be an active Cowlitz PUD customer served by a residential rate. To be eligible for a rebate, your account must be in good standing. Cowlitz PUD reserves the right to withhold rebate funds and apply to past-due account balance.

2. The clothes washer must be ENERGY STAR certified and purchased new. Used or refurbished clothes washers are not eligible.

3. All-in-one washer/dryer combo units are eligible for a clothes washer rebate if the model number is on the ENERGY STAR clothes washer products list.

4. Your home must have an electric water heater.

5. Limit of one clothes washer rebate, per residence, every five years.

6. Program requirements and available rebates are subject to change without prior notice.

Steps to Participate

1. Purchase and install a qualifying ENERGY STAR certified clothes washer.

2. Complete the “Residential Appliance Rebate Application,” and attach a copy of the purchase receipt showing the brand name, model number, order/purchase date, and cost. Completed applications must be submitted to Cowlitz PUD within 90 days of purchase.

3. If the clothes washer was purchased for new construction, submit the completed application and receipt within 90 days of purchase. The rebate will be held until we are notified that the clothes washer is installed, in-use and city or county has signed off for occupancy.

4. Cowlitz PUD will verify the information on the application. The rebate will be applied as a credit to the applicant’s Cowlitz PUD account within eight weeks of approval.
